Come along to a session with Louise Nicholson where she will talk about Why your gut health and nutrition reflects in your mood, levels of anxiety and depression and one's resilience to cope with life's challenges. You’ll be making a green smoothie and there will be a short questionnaire to start people thinking on a personal level how they can make small changes for big results. Louise Nicholson is a highly experienced Nutritionist who early in her career was a sports nutritionist with the Fitzroy Football Club, the Triathlon Association of Victoria, and the AFL Umpires Association, while training as an athlete herself for the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Driven to help people understand how to through nutrition they can prevent and improve their health, Louise has undertaken further studies in the gut microbiome leading to the development of nutrition education courses designed to contribute to improved wellness, performance, and productivity. Through these modules Louise aims to positively impact an unsustainable health burden on society and educate us on the land we depend upon for our sustenance and good health. Louise’s mission is to bring the latest science on nutrition to individuals and organisations and create a movement where we recognise the importance of respecting the natural food chain and in so doing, nourish our health and ensure the survival of our environment that feeds us. The HSC Storm Recovery Team in partnership with Trentham Neighbourhood Centre is offering this workshop as part of series of subsidised workshops focused on: 'Building Resilience and Sustainability in our community'
