Description

Growing your own food in our cool climate. This course will cover: • Why grow your own produce • How to make your garden productive • Vegetables - what grows well here • Starting your plants - from seed, seedlings, runners, etc • Berries, fruit and nuts - what grows well here • Resources - planting chart, specialist nurseries and suppliers We will begin at the Trentham Neighbourhood Centre and then visit the presenter's garden in Bullarto South - including a large vegetable garden, enclosed berry patch and greenhouse.
